大使館から、観光ビザ発給にはコンゴ共和国の正式な保証が必要との説明。理由は日本の大使館がないためとのこと。最初、予定した宿の証明書を、わざわざpaypalで振り込んで確保したのだが、政府の補償が必要といわれ、可能としていた宿と交渉したが、最終的にできないと断られた。約束違反のような気もする。おまけにpaypalで振り込んだ15000円も返してもらえそうもない。

ネットサーフで、在米コンゴ大使館のHPで紹介しているように、コンゴ共和国の旅行会社が、保証書を取り付けるサービスを199ドルで実施しており、問い合わせをしたところ、HPの価格が急に299ドルに跳ね上がった。折からの円安で、45000円もすることになる。メールで事情を問い合わせたら、私に限って249ドルにするとのこと。大使館でこのやり方で構わないかといわせたら、米国と同じようにするわけではないと言いながら、この会社が信用があるか調べて連絡をするということ。待てども連絡がなく、最終的にはコンゴ共和国には入港しないで、トランジットで訪問できる行程を組むこととした。コンゴ川のフェリーに乗ってみたかったが、つぎの機会にする。コンゴ民主共和国のビザ発給はコンゴ共和国ほど厳しくないだろうから、その時にフェリーに乗ればいいとあきらめた。

Exercise increased caution in the Republic of the Congo due to crime.

Country Summary: While not common, violent crime, such as armed robbery and assault, remains a concern throughout the Republic of the Congo.

The U.S. government has limited ability to provide emergency services to U.S. citizens outside Brazzaville.  U.S. government employees must use two vehicles to travel to the Pool region. They are also restricted to beaches adjacent to their hotels in Pointe Noire due to crime.

• An invitation letter or hotel reservation (For the tourist visa)A typewritten and notarized invitation letter ( the invitation letter should be notarized at the City council or Prefecture/Mairie) stating the nature of the trip, the name and address of a reference to be visited in the Republic of Congo. The invitation letter must be addressed to the Embassy of the Republic of Congo, Visa section and should be at least 3 months ( 90 Days) valid. It is important to note that for parents traveling with their children or legal guardians traveling with their dependents, a proof of parenthood or legal custody such as court order or birth certificate of the child may be required before a visa can be issued. Furthermore, the person planning on traveling with the minor should submit a photocopy of a valid passport.For all visa applicants ( including former Congolese citizens), a letter of invitation from your host in the Republic of Congo or a Hotel Reservation and a form of Identity card of your host ( Passport, Congolese Legal residence Permit or Visa and National Congolese ID) will be MANDATORY in order to apply for a visa. It is important to note that the city of residence mentioned in the invitation letter of the visa applicant should match the city of residence mentioned on the Congolese visa application. For those traveling to regroup as a family (regroupement familial), a proof of family affiliation such as birth certificate, adoption documents, and legal marriage certificate should be included in the visa application package. Furthermore, visa applicants traveling for funeral purposes should submit a death certificate or for wedding purposes, an invitation card of the wedding ceremony in their visa application package as well.

旅行の性質、コンゴ共和国で訪問する参考文献の名前と住所を記載したタイプライターで公証された招待状 (招待状は市議会または県/Mairie で公証される必要があります)。招待状の宛先はコンゴ共和国大使館のビザ セクションで、有効期限は少なくとも 3 か月 (90 日) 必要です。子供と一緒に旅行する親、またはその扶養家族と旅行する法的保護者の場合、ビザが発行される前に、裁判所命令や子供の出生証明書などの親権または法的親権の証明が必要になる場合があることに注意してください。さらに、未成年者と一緒に旅行を計画している人は、有効なパスポートのコピーを提出する必要があります。すべてのビザ申請者 (元コンゴ市民を含む) については、コンゴ共和国のホストからの招待状またはホテルの予約とフォームビザを申請するには、ホストの ID カード (パスポート、コンゴの法的居住許可証、またはビザとコンゴの国民 ID) が必須です。ビザ申請者の招待状に記載されている居住都市は、コンゴのビザ申請書に記載されている居住都市と一致する必要があることに注意することが重要です。家族として再集結するために旅行する人（再集結家族）の場合、出生証明書、養子縁組書類、法的結婚証明書などの家族関係の証明をビザ申請パッケージに含める必要があります。さらに、葬儀目的で渡航するビザ申請者は、ビザ申請パッケージに死亡診断書または結婚式の目的で結婚式の招待状を提出する必要があります。

The city of Brazzaville is characterized by a large fleet of taxis and taxi buses. Very recently, the Congolese State has put buses into circulation for urban transport.

At any hour of the day, it is not difficult to find a means of transport (taxi, muni-bus) which follow a well-defined route and generally operate from 5:30 am to 10 pm.

In town, the official price for a taxi fare is 700 CFA francs. On the other hand, that of buses and minibuses is 150 CFA francs.

There are taxi ranks at the Maya-Maya international airport, at the Brazzaville railway station, at the Beach, at each major hospital, at the main post office square, at major hotels, at stadiums, in bus stations , modern markets, etc.

中央アフリカCFAフラン（ちゅうおうアフリカセーファーフラン）は、中部アフリカの6か国で使われている通貨で、CFAフランの一種である。カメルーン、コンゴ共和国、ガボン、赤道ギニア、中央アフリカ共和国、チャド、　ユーロに固定しており、1ユーロ=655.957CFAフランである。

熱帯モンスーン気候に属しており、明確な雨季と乾季があるが、乾季は短い。6月から9月までの4か月間は乾季で、ほとんど雨が降らない。一方、気温は乾季に1度から2度下がるものの、一年中を通じて最低気温20度、最高気温30度程度で一定している。乾季は気温がわずかに下がるため、現地では「冬」とも呼ばれている。雨季はスコールも多いが晴天も多く、一方で乾季は降雨はほとんどないが曇天が続く。

コンゴ民主共和国の首都キンシャサとコンゴ共和国の首都ブラザヴィルとの間は川を挟んで2km程度しか離れていないため、何度か架橋計画（en:Brazzaville–Kinshasa Bridge）が浮上しているが、実現はしていない。

コンゴ川の水上交通は、慢性的に定員超過、過重積載した船舶により行われており、しばしば大きな人的被害を伴う沈没事故が発生する。2014年の例では3桁の死者数が生じた事故は2回、3月に210人、12月に129人が死亡する沈没事故が発生している

ブラザビルは他の地域に比べ、政府軍や警察の取り締まりが厳しく、治安は安定していますが、2018年9月には、同市北部の国道でトラック1台が銃撃され中国人2人が殺害される事件や同市中心地において中国人が被害者となる拳銃使用の強盗事件が発生しています。Dec 21, 2021

コンゴ共和国では、外国人観光客を狙った偽警察官による犯罪も発生しています。その手口は「パスポートを見せろ」と声をかけ、金品などを奪うというもの。抵抗すると車に無理矢理押し込まれ、人気のない場所に連れていかれる危険性もあるのだとか。

街中を歩く時は貴重品を携帯したくないかもしれませんが、コピーしたパスポートを持ち歩くなど、身分証の代わりになるものを一つは必ず持ち歩くようにしましょう。また、警察官と名乗るものに声をかけられた時は、相手に身分証の提示を求めるなど落ち着いて対応することが重要です。

◎Underwater avalanche continued for two whole days

ブラザビルとキンシャサーは陸上移動ができるので、一体として行程を考えるといい。ABJ、LWF、COO、LOS、LVB、ADD、NBO、KGL、DLAが乗継になる。ルアンダまで陸上移動できればいいのであるが。

 

二つのコンゴとアンゴラ北部は15世紀頃まではコンゴ王国の一体的な領域だったが、16世紀にポルトガルによる征服を経た後に、19世紀のベルリン会議でベルギー領（現在のコンゴ民主共和国）とフランス領（現在のコンゴ共和国）とポルトガル領に分けられた。1970年から1991年までの期間はコンゴ人民共和国という国名だった。最大都市は首都のブラザヴィル（都市圏人口189万人、2015年）である。
